Taking the top position above the PowerBook 100 and PowerBook 140, the PowerBook 170 was an elite machine. Featuring a 25 MHz Motorola 68030 processor matched with a 68882 FPU, the PowerBook provided plenty of brawn to match the beauty of it’s 9.8” active-matrix LCD display.


The PowerBook 170 featured a 25 MHz Motorola 68030 processor, 4 MB RAM, a 40 MB SCSI hard disk drive, and a 1.44 floppy disk drive. In back it provided external serial, ADB, SCSI and video ports. An internal modem slot allowed dial-up capabilities.


This PowerBook 170 features a 330 MB hard disk drive, 8 MB RAM and an internal modem. It boots to the original System 7.0.1.
