Macintosh SE

With the “SE” denoting “System Expandable”, the Macintosh SE was the first compact Macintosh to feature a PDS expansion slot. Along with the Macintosh II it brought the “Snow White” styling of the Apple //c to the Macintosh line. The SE could be expanded with third party graphics, ethernet and accelerator cards.

It also added an internal hard drive option, a dual 800k floppy disk drive option, the Apple Desktop Bus (ADB) and a cooling fan. It retained the 8 MHz Motorola 68000 processor of it’s predecessor, the Macintosh Plus.

This machine features 1 MB RAM, an internal, 20MB SCSI hard disk drive and an 800k floppy disk drive. It boots into System 5.1.
