PowerBook 145

The PowerBook 145 was simply a speed-bump to the PowerBook 140 and filled the same low-end position in the PowerBook lineup. Processor speed, standard RAM and hard drive size increased.

The PowerBook 145 features a 25 MHz Motorola 68030 processor, 4 MB RAM, a 40 Mb or 80 MB SCSI hard disk drive and a 1.44 floppy disk drive. Serial, ADB and SCSI ports adorn the backside.

This machine features a 4 MB RAM expansion card (for a total of 8 MB RAM) and an internal 40 MB Conner SCSI hard disk drive. It boots to the original System 7.0.1. Because System 7.0.1 was released before the PowerBook 145 shipped, it is identified as it’s predecessor the PowerBook 140 in the “About this Macintosh” box.
