PowerBook G3 “Pismo”

The last model of the Powerbook G3 line, many consider the “Pismo” to be the best laptop computer ever made by Apple. Though nearly identical in exterior design to its predecessor (the Powerbook G3 “Lombard”), the “Pismo” offered many welcome internal changes including a faster 100 MHz memory bus speed, Firewire 400 ports, a built-in Airport Wi-Fi card slot, AGP Graphics and a 2x DVD-ROM.

This machine was purchased from university surplus. It features a 400 MHz G3 processor, 192 MB RAM, 10 GB hard drive and internal Airport card. It boots into the original Mac OS 9.0.4.
